Be aware of the NCAA requirements to participate in this event.

Bring all of your program’s teams for a weekend of strong competition and quality organization to Las Vegas. The tournament takes place during the live period for Division I mens coaches (15U-17U teams). All games will be played at the best facilities in Las Vegas. All games will end by 5 pm on Sunday. This event will also allow the scouting services to get a look at the stars of 2020 and beyond. Whether you are a local team looking to have a great weekend of tournament action or a team looking to come to Las Vegas for a weekend of excellent basketball and good competition, this will be the place to be April 24-26. And like any Grand Opening in Las Vegas, we plan on making this tournament a truly spectacular event for your team. Come out and be seen at the Grand Opening April 24-26, 2020. 

Registration Deadline: April 15, 2020

We will also have 15U-17U boys non certified divisions open for college coaches DII and below recruiting.

 

 

 

 

Tournament details

  • Open to Boys’ 9U/3rd grade-17U/11th grade teams and Girls Varsity teams.
  • Live period for D1 men’s coaches (15U-17U teams)
  • Unsigned seniors are welcome!
  • Normal high school rules with stop clock on dead balls
  • Excellent facilities
  • The earliest possible games begin after 5pm on Friday. Teams will have 2 pool play games before moving into bracket play. Championship games will be over by 5 pm on Sunday.
  • Awards to 1st and 2nd place team members in each division
  • Entry fees: 9U-14U and Varsity Girls  $375/team; 15U-17U $425/team
  • Registration and Payment Deadline: April 15, 2020

2019 Tournament Age/Grade
Division Rules:

Ages are based on the grade players are in during the 2019-2020 school year. Age determining date is 9/1/2020

  • 9U / 3rd Grade Division:
    Players in the 3rd grade can be 9 or 10 years old, but cannot turn 11 before 9/1/2020.
    Players in the 4th grade who want to play down into the 3rd grade division cannot turn 10 before 9/1/2020.
  • 10U / 4th Grade Division:
    Players in the 4th grade can be 10 or 11 years old, but cannot turn 12 before 9/1/2020.
    Players in the 5th grade who want to play down into the 4th grade divisions cannot turn 11 before 9/1/2020.
  • 11U / 5th Grade Division:
    Players in the 5th grade can be 11 or 12 years old, but cannot turn 13 before 9/1/2020.
    Players in the 6th grade who want to play down into the 5th grade division cannot turn 12 before 9/1/2020.
  • 12U / 6th Grade Division:
    Players in the 6th grade can be 12 or 13 years old, but cannot turn 14 before 9/1/2020.
    Players in the 7th grade who want to play down into the 6th grade division cannot turn 13 before 9/1/2020.
  • 13U / 7th Grade Division:
    Players in the 7th grade can be 13 or 14 years old, but cannot turn 15 before 9/1/2020.
    Players in the 8th grade who want to play down into the 7th grade division cannot turn 14 before 9/1/2020.
  • 14U / 8th Grade Division:
    Players in the 8th grade can be 14 or 15 years old, but cannot turn 16 before 9/1/2020.
    Players in the 9th grade who want to play down into the 8th grade division cannot turn 15 before 9/1/2020.
  • 15U / 9th Grade Division:
    Players in the 9th grade can be 15 or 16 years old, but cannot turn 17 before 9/1/2020.
    Players in the 10th grade who want to play down into the 9th grade division cannot turn 16 before 9/1/2020.
  • 16U / 10th Grade Division:
    Players in the 10th grade can be 16 or 17 years old, but cannot turn 18 before 9/1/2020.
    Players in the 11th grade who want to play down into the 10th grade division cannot turn 17 before 9/1/2020.
  • 17U / Varsity Divisions: The boys’ 17U & girls’ Varsity divisions are actually “open divisions,” where unsigned seniors with remaining high school eligibility can play. However, players cannot turn 20 before 9/1/2020. Unsigned seniors can play as long as they have not committed in writing to play for a college at any level. Unsigned prep school players are also eligible to play in our tournaments. If a player has signed a letter of intent and you think they won’t qualify because of grades, they still cannot play. The tournament management has the right to exclude any senior from playing. No player who has attended junior college or college may play in this event.

The 2019 Las Vegas Grand Opening Schedule is posted on the Bigfoot Hoops App.

Mandatory All teams must check in at Doolittle Community Center (1950 N. J Street, Las Vegas, NV 89106) before their first game to pick up your wristbands. Check in will open Friday 4pm-9pm and on Saturday  8am- 9pm. Please be sure to check the schedules before leaving for the tournament to make sure there have been no changes.

15U-17U NCAA certified teams

Due to NCAA regulations, check in for 15U-17U teams will begin at 6:00pm on Friday. ONLY the 15U-17U teams who have a Friday 6:00pm game will be allowed to check in at their first game location.  All others must check in at Doolittle Community Center.

Coaches who are listed on their BBCS roster will need to show a photo ID at check-in to obtain a NCAA approved wristband and be allowed on the bench. The coach checking in the team will need to check off all players and coaches who are participating.
Players and coaches who do not appear on your BBCS roster will not be allowed to participate.
Players with unresolved warnings on your BBCS rosters will not be allowed to play unless they have provided the NCAA and the tournament with documentation showing that they meet the NCAA Requirements.

All teams must bring proof of age/grade with them to the tournament games.

Admission: Daily pass $15 or a Tournament pass $25 (Cash Only).  Two coaches and all players from each team get in free.
